We drove to Yellow Stone Park and did the bottom loop of Yellow Stone Park. The first thing we saw was the Mud Volcano - it was soooo cool it really looked liked a volcano but made out of mud! Then we drove to some bison we passed going to the mud volcano. There were three and I got to take photos, so many photos, it was so cool, they were HUGE.
Then we went to Sulphur Cauldron where there were three water holes that were HUGE bubbling so much and boiling hot.
After that we drove to Upper Falls and saw a really big waterfall then went to Steamboat Geyser and saw a little explode then went to Artists Paint Pots.
Guess what, there was barely any colour in them or on them but they say it changes all the time so that’s how they get away with it, Dad and I thought. After that we went to Gibben falls then Fountain Paint Pot. They weren’t really coloured much either and it was a long walk.
Then we went to Upper Geyser Basin to see the Grand Prismatic Spring and it’s colours, but it was way too foggy so we saw nothing.
Then we drove to world famous Old Faithful and saw a HUUUGE explosion then we drove to our hotel in the park.
In the morning we drove to do the top loop. When we got to the top/the start of the top loop we went to the mammoth hot spings terraces and did a super long walk there are so many steps and my knee hurt soooo much. Then we saw a Petrified Tree and it was still standing!!!!
Then we went to sheepeater cliff to have lunch then went to roaring mountain it had lots of little pot Geysers in the cliff but it didn’t roar.
Then we went to the Upper Geyser Basin again and did a little/long walk to the vewing spot in the hills for the grand prismatic spring, and it was so cool seeing all the colours this time.
