Today we went in the car to the place where you board the boat to The Statue Of Liberty and Ellis Island. It is SO HOT! Since we had a booking for the pedestal on Liberty Island we had to go there first, the view was awesome! We had a bird’s eye view of the whole island! We learnt that the statue of liberty was actually shiny copper when it was originally made over time it has turned green because of the air and it oxidises. After that we went back to Ellis island (I said ‘we went back because the boat stopped there before Liberty Island’) and then we went to the museum on Ellis Island. IT WAS AWESOME!!!

We walked along the Atlantic city boardwalk and saw lots of cool stores, there was even an amusement park! When we finished the walk we went into a massive hotel called Tropicana that had dedicated three fourths of itself to be a casino, we also saw a burger place called Broadway Burger. We went back to the hotel and went in the pool then we went back to Broadway Burger and had dinner after that we went to the amusement park and spent the night till 11:00 at night. IT WAS SO COOL!!!

We drove to Washington DC, and went to the Arlington War Memorial. We walked to the tomb of the unknown soldier and saw the guards change and put on a new wreath. It was SO hot there it was about 37 degrees! I found a grave of someone who was a FOUR STAR GENERAL! We also walked to this massive statue of people sticking a flag in the ground. I also FOUND A FOUR LEAF CLOVER AT THE COOL STATUE!!! I was SO happy! Dad said that only 1 in 10,000 people find a FOUR LEAF CLOVER!

Later on in the day we went to the Jefferson memorial it stank of body odour in there. After that we went to the Lincoln Memorial IT SMELT EVEN WORSE! FACT THAT I LEARNT: The Washington Memorial is 500ft in height!

Today we went to UNIVERSAL STUDIOS!!!
First we went to a roller coaster called the Veloci-Coaster. It looked so FUN!, It was AWESOME! Mum and Dad and Abi had other thoughts about it though. They thought it was terrifying! (not so much Dad) You should have seen the photo of Abi, her face looked like her brain had shut down. After that we went to HOGSMEADE! And we got to see a miniature version of HOGWARTS! Then we went on some dinosaur rides (they were water based) then we did a King Kong 4D ride, then we went to the front of the park and went on a few more water rides where you got completely soaked! After the water rides we did a spiderman 4D ride and then a hulk roller coaster!
IT WAS AWESOME!

We left Macon and drove to Montgomery. On the way we stopped at Georgia Aquarium and saw a beluga whale (four beluga whales), a WHALE SHARK!!!, a tiger shark, and lots of cool fish that I have never seen before! There was even a weird looking something that looked like a shark but it had a mouth that looked like a sting ray’s mouth, we found out that it was actually a stingray because it had it’s gills on the bottom near where it’s mouth is.We also got to see a mantaray next to the whale shark, it was about the same size as the whale shark! IT WAS SO COOL!!! When we finished pudding at the hotel ( in Montgomery) I got to call Macauley and Barnaby and i was going to show them my four leaf clover but one of it’s leaves broke off! :(

We left Montgomery and drove to our hotel ad then drove to an ALLIGATOR BOAT TOUR and the people who ran the tour said that we WOULD GET TO SEE A
HUGE
ALLIGATOR!
Before the tour started, we got to see some small alligators in a nearby creek it was so COOL! When the tour started, the tour guide showed us some birds called the great blue heron, a big white bird that I can’t remember the name of (it had the same body shape as the great blue heron), a bird that liked to eat massive snails (their shell was about the same size as my hand)*. We got to see a MASSIVE ALLIGATOR about 14ft!* His name was Elvis and he was blind in one eye :( When we were close to the end of the tour we got to see some cute raccoons and I got to feed an alligator and a raccoon. IT WAS SO FUN!
*The snails egg sacks were BRIGHT FLORESENT PINK!
*Elvis is 75 years old and alligators live to 85!

We left Abilene and drove to New Mexico!, New Mexico is SO plain. :( Now I really don’t want to go to Mexico (we luckily aren’t going to Mexico). Then we drove to our hotel to put our luggage there, after that we drove for 30 minutes to a place called Carlsbad Caverns where we can go into a MASSIVE network of caves, and see BATS! The entrance of the cave smelt badly of bat poo :( We got to see HEAPS of stalagmites and stalagtites! They looked super old! (because they were) We made some faces and items from some stalagmites or stalagtites. We made up: a dragon, a very old baboon with a beard, an ice cream, a megalodon, a ghost, and a totem pole! When we left the cave we went back up to the museum (that we didn’t get to go to before the cave) and there was a challenge in which you had to go through a very small gap. I made it, and Abi made it (of course) and I eventually talked dad into doing it, which he did do. After about 30 minutes sitting in the car in the hot sun, we went to the bat amphitheatre and watched the ranger answer questions about anything except bats. After a while the bats started to come out! Since there were a lot of cave swallows (birds that live in caves) I got mixed up with what was a bird and what was a bat. The bats were smaller than I expected them to be, and they all came out in groups! They all went in the same direction as each other but a certain way from the other group. The bats all came out of the cave in one big swarm (but as I said before they had split themselves up) after a certain distance away they split back into separate groups again to go out hunting.
IT WAS SUPER SMELLY BUT AWESOME!!!
