Today we went to Pompeii. In Pompeii a mountain exploded called Vesuvius. It exploded in 79AD. It was made out of pumice and it made the air toxic and everyone in the town near Mount Vesuvius died.
Later in the years scientists came, they found holes in the ground and then they put in plaster and they filled them up (the holes) and then chipped away and saw that they were humans in the holes!!
When we got there we explored and saw lots of casts. The place where lots of them were was called the garden of the fugitives. Alex and I brought mum and dad there on our tour guide!!:)
Then we went to a really big square with concrete poles on the outside. Inside it was a museum.
Then we went to a stadium from old times as our last thing because it was near the exit. It was huge and all around the outside it had Pink Floyd little museum bits.
Then we went home to get Alex’s birthday presents.
