IT’S FINALLY HALLOWEEN!!!
Today we drove to Seattle, it wasn’t a very long drive. (2 hours and 30 minutes) When we got to our Air-BNB, it was 5:30. We had already got changed into our (me: $15.00) (Abi: $35.00) very cheap costumes so we didn’t need to get changed.
When we started, we went along to the start of our alley-way (the entrance to the bottom of the Air-BNB was at the back of the house) and went to our first house.
We went to a super cool house that had a little wooden hut out at the front of the house’s garden. To get your candy you had to go through this little hut which had someone hiding inside so they would give you a scare when you were inside. I decided that I was just going to run through the hut yelling so I couldn’t hear anything. I got the candy but Abi was too chicken so she didn’t get any candy.
After that we went to another house that looked like it would have a lot of candy, but before we knocked on the door I had to recite my joke in my head again: “how do you make a tissue dance?” “Hmm, I don’t know how do you make a tissue dance?” “Just put a boogie in it!”
After about 30 minutes of ‘trick or treating’,we went back to the ‘house’ and poured all our candy out. I only counted all the candy when we had finished, and that wasn’t for a while.
We went back outside to do the “it has lots of candy” street. Instead of going there we got lost so we decided to just do the streets that were closest and the streets that we haven’t done. It was getting colder and my mask was dripping condensation.
But, mum didn’t want the night to end just yet, so she spotted a house that had big shining lights and glowing bushes and walls to do for the last house before we went ‘home’. You might be able to guess what happened then, we ended up ‘spotting more’ and did about 15 more houses. When we were finally finished we started to make our way back.
Because I make a map in my heap wherever I walk, I was able to lead us home. When we got back ‘home’ my fingertips felt like they were burning because they were so cold and then were getting heated up from the warmth inside!
I counted a total of 148 different pieces of candy, including: M&M’s, Skittles, Reese’s (which I HATE and was going to leave for the people that own the house), Snickers (I also don’t like these), Milky Ways (super yummy! Possibly my second favourite candy*), Kit Kats (they're alright), Hersheys, Twix’s (quite yummy I found out), Star Bursts (It was so long since I had eaten StarBurst), and also a Mr Beast Bar (I had to trade Abi an M&M packet for it).
IT WAS AN AWESOME (and cold) NIGHT!!!
PS: Abi’s and my costumes were: a dragon (for me), and a mermaid (for Abi)
*(my favourite candy being: a Jersey Caramel!)
